Books I'm Looking Forward to in 2014

Beautiful Oblivion
by: Jamie McGuire
Release Date: July 1, 2014

Why I'm looking forward to it:
It's a new book in the Maddox Brothers series. I loved Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster, which are Abby and Travis' perspective of the way they met. Beautiful Oblivion is Trenton Maddox's story. Trenton is one of Travis' brothers, who you meet in Abby & Travis' story. I'm pretty pumped about the fact that she's going to apparently write books about all the brothers! I'm down.

What you should read while you wait:
Beautiful Disaster, Walking Disaster and Beautiful Wedding

by: Rainbow Rowell
Release Date: July 8, 2014

Why I'm looking forward to it:
Well, this year is the year I discovered Rainbow Rowell and John Green. They have become 2 authors whose books I will pick up immediately just because there is a large chance that I will love them. I loved Attachments and Eleanor & Park this year by Rainbow. I didn't love Fangirl, but it wasn't enough to throw me off the Rainbow Rowell bandwagon. Landline is the story of a marriage that is in trouble and a wife who finds herself with the ability to speak to her husband in the past. Interesting.

What you should read while you wait:
Attachments and Eleanor & Park

The Book of Life
by: Deborah Harkness
Release Date: July 15, 2014

Why I'm looking forward to it:
It's the 3rd book in the All Souls trilogy, which I have loved so far. The series basically takes the idea of vampires and witches and takes it all the way back through history. You learn that all these famous people were supposedly vampires or witches in hiding. It's so fun to see how she weaves that through history. I have loved both of the first 2 and I'm excited to see how the story concludes with this one.

What you should read while you wait:
A Discovery of Witches & Shadow of Night

Isla and the Happily Ever After
by: Stephanie Perkins
Release Date: August 14, 2014

Why I'm looking forward to it:
It's another book in the Anna and the French Kiss (dumb name, good book) series by Stephanie Perkins. I loved the first 2. Each of the stories features a different main character, so you could read each one separately if you wanted, but they have cameos from the main characters of the previous books, too. I just really love how her books make the setting like another character in the story. This one takes place in New York City, Paris and Barcelona!! I'm so excited!!

What you should read while you wait:
Anna and the French Kiss & Lola and the Boy Next Door

Ugly Love
by: Colleen Hoover
Release Date: August 5, 2014

Why I'm looking forward to it:
I read Colleen Hoover's book Hopeless earlier this year. It wasn't my absolute favorite, but I read it really quickly and in the summer I do tend to love just flying through some quick, fun reads, so I'm looking forward to picking this one up in August. Of course it'll be the end of summer for me, but it'll still be a fun read!

What you should read while you wait:
Hopeless & I'm planning to read Maybe Someday as soon as it comes in at my library!
