Should you read it?: Maybe
...if you like good girl/bad guy storylines.
Category: Young adult

This book is about Lucy and Jude. Lucy is a ballerina who is still struggling to deal with the death of her brother years before. Her parents are also dealing with it in their own ways, which strains their relationship and has ultimately left her dad without a job. They moved into their lake cabin and she is attending a new school. Before school starts, she meets Jude Ryder, who is just an all around bad boy with a reputation for causing trouble and being arrested. I enjoyed this one, but again, it's not at the very top of my list.

Things I liked:
Obviously I liked the good girl/bad guy thing. That's just my genre.

I was interested enough in what happens to the characters that I read the whole thing pretty quickly and I do plan on reading the rest of the series.

Things I didn't:
Now that being said above, I did feel like the story was a little played out and while it did have a few aspects that were different than I'd read in other novels, it just didn't stand out enough for me to give it a yes. I liked it, but didn't love it. I felt the same about the characters. I liked them, but didn't love them. I am interested to see what happens to them, though.

Overall: I wouldn't go out of my way to find it, but it was okay.
