Confess

Confess
by: Colleen Hoover

Should you read it?: Yes
Category: New Adult

From Amazon: At age twenty-one, Auburn Reed has already lost everything important to her. In her fight to rebuild her shattered life, she has her goals in sight and there is no room for mistakes. But when she walks into a Dallas art studio in search of a job, she doesn’t expect to find a deep attraction to the enigmatic artist who works there, Owen Gentry.

For once, Auburn takes a chance and puts her heart in control, only to discover that Owen is keeping a major secret from coming out. The magnitude of his past threatens to destroy everything important to Auburn, and the only way to get her life back on track is to cut Owen out of it.

To save their relationship, all Owen needs to do is confess. But in this case, the confession could be much more destructive than the actual sin.

Things I Liked:
Well, for one, I just think Colleen Hoover does everything right. So if for no other reason than that she wrote it, you should pick it up.

I loved that the book surprised me in some ways. There were some things I saw coming, but there were several things that really did surprise me a lot and that was enjoyable.

I absolutely love the way Colleen puts things into the book that are beyond the normal that you get with other books. For example, the fact that Maybe Someday has actual recorded tracks that match the songs you read about in the book. This book has the actual pictures in the book that you're reading about. I read it on my kindle and on my phone's Kindle app, I could actually see the pictures in color! It was super fun having that aspect of it.

Things I Didn't:
I kinda wanted more at the end, but I get it. I do.

Overall: If you love Colleen Hoover already, you'll love this one. If you haven't read hers, you could easily start here.

Finished on: March 21, 2015
